Our client is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join their team in Chester, New York.
As a Network Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design, implementation, and management of complex network architecture and network and security infrastructure.

$85K - $130K, W2 What's the Job? Design, implement, and manage complex network architecture to meet requirements from various business units.
Support network and security infrastructure and controls, including, but not limited to Routers, Switches, SD-WAN, Firewalls, VPN, TACACS, netflow based tools, etc.
Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for the network; assist in conducting periodic internal and external audits to assess security/risk in the Mediacom network.
Ensure network systems comply with relevant regulatory and compliance standards.
Participate in incident triage, analysis, response, and remediation for network outages, intrusions, attacks, and other incidents.
What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Information Technology preferred or equivalent years of experience.
5 to 7 years of technical hands-on networking and security experience.
A solid background in network administration and architecture, and an in-depth understanding of communication protocols and routing protocols (e.
g.
, BGP, OSPF).
Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
Familiarity with access control models and network security, knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.
g.
, Python).
Preferred Experience/Skills:
